Every New York City school’s website must be accessible to people with disabilities by December 2020. It’s part of our agreement with the US DOE’s Office of Civil Rights.  And it’s the right thing to do!

Accessibility involves two things:
  1. The underlying platform has to be accessible

  2. All the content—pictures, documents, and text on a page—must be accessible.

At the Summit you will discover:

  • What each website provider offers, in terms of:

    • their platform, to ensure you have an accessible website

    • support to you and your colleagues

    • costs

  • What you and your colleagues need to do to make your content accessible

CTLE? Yesiree!
·         You will also earn CTLE credit when you complete the evaluation at the end of the day.
