Oswaldo Alvarenga is a product of the Chicago Public Schools. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He worked for various telecommunication companies as a Senior Design Engineer before entering the field of education as a High School Mathematics Teacher in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Alvarenga has also served as a Mathematics Instructional Coach and Supervisor, Director of Educational Technology, Executive Director and currently, he is the Assistant Superintendent for CTE and STEM Education in the Dallas ISD.
