Jennifer Culver serves as the Academic Technology Services Director for the Simmons School of Education and Human Development. In this role, Jennifer supports faculty and staff in their teaching and research pursuits, which includes all aspects of technology from inventory to training on various educational technology tools (such as Learning Management Systems) to helping with data architecture. Previously, Jennifer ran Professional Development and Outreach for TEA’s Texas Virtual School Network, a service run through the Region X Service Center and as a Digital Learning Specialist for the Lewisville Independent School District, where she helped blended and fully online teachers engage students and design work within the Learning Management System. While at Lewisville, Jennifer wrote the first online teacher state certification program to be run through a public school district. Jennifer presented on digital engagement tools for online students for ISTE’s Online Learning Network and has presented at the TCEA conference on blended learning and participatory tools. Jennifer holds graduate certification in Digital Learning and Teaching and holds a Ph.D. in Humanities.
