David Pirrello is an educator at Colleyville- Heritage High School located in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. This is David’s 4th-year teaching in GCISD supporting Special Services students on campus. David also serves as the head esports coach for the school overseeing 30 esports athletes in national level competition weekly during the 2018-2019 school year. His work on developing a well-rounded esports program has lead to work development of esports curriculum and integration across several curricular areas taking esports beyond the game. His work has helped develop one of the most successful and growing high school esports programs in the state. The GCISD and CHHS esports program have been featured in several publications as well as local media with its growth and development.
