Dr. Joseph Maruszczak is the Superintendent of Schools of the Mendon-Upton (MA) Regional School District. The district has a well-established 1:1 learning program that is focused on using technology as a means to communicate, collaborate, and innovate. The heart of the matter, however, still is pedagogy. Thus the district emphasis is on creating more opportunities for inquiry-based, student-driven, and real-world learning that excites and empowers our students. This is being done through pathways such as Maker Education, Genius Hour/20 Time, and Connected Learning. Dr. Maruszczak is proud to lead a team of professionals in pushing our collective practices.
