Dr. Laura Chesson, a past recipient of a NSF fellowship for her work in integrated math and science programs for middle schools and the Theodore Sizer Fellowship for research in the impact of teacher leadership, is currently the Superintendent of Groton-Dunstable Public Schools, a small regional school district on the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border. Prior to coming to Groton-Dunstable, Dr. Chesson was the Assistant Superintendent of Arlington Public Schools, Arlington, MA. In that role she helped to design and implement a number of 1-to-1 schools and Grade 6 - 12 programs in Digital Literacy and Computer Science. Dr. Chesson, who spent 10 years as a manager for IBM prior to coming into education, has also held roles as a high principal, assistant principal, and classroom teacher.
