Dr. Michael Marassa is the Director of Technology is Grayslake Community High School District 127 in the Northern Chicago Suburbs. He has held that position since June 2011. Prior to Grayslake, Michael was the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology for Champaign Unit 4 Community Schools in Central Illinois. Before starting in District IT administration, Michael was an instructional technology specialist and middle school language arts teacher for thirteen years in Champaign Unit 4 Schools.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education and a Masters of Education in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform (CTER) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Michael completed his educational administrative certification through Eastern Illinois University. Michael completed his doctorate in Educational Administration from National Louis University in 2017.

Michael lives in Grayslake with his wife Lynn, and two daughters Rebekah and Abigail.
