Dr. Dale Reed is Clinical Professor in the Computer Science department at UIC. As director of CS Recruitment he spearheaded undergraduate student population growth from 185 students in 2005 to over 1,000 students in 2018. He is a founding member of the Chicago Computer Science Teachers’ Association and is part of the team that from 2009-2016 got CS to be a high school graduation requirement in Chicago Public Schools. He is a national PD mentor facilitator for the Exploring Computer Science (ECS) course and was part of the College Board development committee that formed the AP CS Principles course.
