Too often, schools launch new technology without a plan for supporting and coaching teachers through the process of using new technology effectively in their classrooms. This session will focus on creating an edtech professional development roadmap for success.

Data Privacy  
Preparing for Illinois' New Student Data Privacy Law
Educators rely on access to data and information in order to make decisions that meet the needs of each individual student. With the rapidly growing adoption of data analytics solutions and the ongoing use of that popular staple in student data analysis (e.g. spreadsheets), more staff members are gaining access to personalized student information. This session will present challenges associated with leveraging student data, and implications of recent legislation in Illinois that establish new guidelines and expectations to protect student information.

Telling Your Story with Tech

This interactive session will explore tools to encourage students to tell their story --- from podcasting to digital tools like Book Creator, Scratch, Green Screen, and iMovie/Stop Motion. Take learning and assessment to the next level by giving students the tools to show what they know.
